Proposed Landing Site for ExoMars Rover at Aram Dorsum
This digital terrain model covers an area once proposed as a landing site for the European Space Agency’s ExoMars Rover at Aram Dorsum. This cutout shows the DTM overlain on a HiRISE image. The DTM provides topographic information that would facilitate safe landing and navigation of the terrain by a rover.

Aram Dorsum is suggested to be an ancient exhumed river system, thought to have been active about 3.7 billion years ago. The deposits shown in this DTM are up to tens of meters thick and overlies Aram Dorsum. Erosional windows into it reveal the locations of potential flood plain deposits associated with this ancient exhumed river system.
